About Us

We believe every Pinay is the boss of her own life!

Pinay Girl Boss is all about inspiring, educating, and nurturing women to become great leaders and entrepreneurs. We offer a supportive and inclusive environment where every Filipina can build the skills, confidence, and network she needs to thrive.

Who We Help

Are you just getting started in your career and want to quickly jump ahead? Or maybe you’re doing okay, but would like to build a new income stream (so you can buy nice things and visit exciting places when you want to!)? Perhaps you’ve built a business already, but want to take it to the next level. Maybe your business is thriving, but you want to find ways to step back and work smarter, not harder.

Whichever part of the path you’re on, we’re here for you on every step of your journey to being a girl boss

How We Can Help

We offer courses, workshops, and masterclasses crafted by leading experts in various fields—all at a price point you can afford.

We also provide a community for Pinays to share our struggles and triumphs, learn from each other, and support each other on the road to girl bossdom.

We want you to know you’re not alone whether you stumble or speed ahead on the road to success.

Why Join Us

We are committed to making a meaningful impact on the lives of Filipinas everywhere. One way we do this is by providing low-cost, high-quality, and easy-to-use learning opportunities no matter what your skill level.

We aim to cultivate a community of Pinays in Progress, women who are FIERCE because they have:

  • Focus, because you know what you want in life and have your sights set on achieving it;
  • Integrity to uphold the highest standards of ethics and honesty in interactions with;
  • Empathy for the struggles of others, whom you can help as they become your tribe, your community, or even your clients;
  • Resilience in the face of whatever challenges life or the world can bring;
  • Courage to take risks, embrace change, and step out of your comfort zone; and
  • Eagerness to get to work, to participate in the community as a learner and a teacher, and to grab on to your dreams with both hands and not let go until you’ve made them your reality.

How We Got Started

Pinay Girl Boss is the brainchild of Atty. Tina de Guzman and Maxine Mendoza. These close friends share a love of learning and promoting wellness with the help of essential oils.

They started with a podcast in 2020 and expanded to events and brand collaborations after the pandemic started to lift.

In 2023, they were joined by entrepreneur friends who share the same heart-centered philosophy.

All these women also shared something else: a vision of a future full of empowered Filipinas. These Pinays would strive for success and achieve it. They would learn and grow from failure. They wouldn’t let anything keep them from making their dreams a reality.

They had an unshakable determination to give fellow Filipinas a way to pursue their dreams and passions. And this conviction saw the birth of PGB Influence and Pinay Girl Boss Academy. Their events, courses, and community provide support, education, and affirmation for goal-getter Pinays.

Recently, they launched the maiden courses of their Pinay Girl Boss Academy. And with exciting plans to reach and teach more people in the coming months and years, the future they envisioned draws even closer.

Maxine (left), known to her friends as Max, has had a career in the aviation industry since 2010. “Traveling is in my blood, and dessert fuels me,” says this dreamer and book lover. She’s proud to call herself the other half of Pinay Girl Boss and mama of the Certified Oilers community.

Tina (right) is a mompreneur and a lawyer with a passion for community building, collaboration, and advocating wellness. She also empowers women through other communities she founded, including @theoilnaturalprojectph, @fitmomsprojectph, and @milfmanila (Moms in Love with Fun).

“We kept enrolling in international classes during the lockdown, but found nothing that was created by Filipinos, for Filipinos. The classes from abroad were not affordable, accessible, or culturally relevant to a huge majority of Pinoys. So we decided to come up with our own platform.”
