- Eagerness to get to work, to participate in the community as a learner and a teacher, and to grab on to your dreams with both hands and not let go until you’ve made them your reality.
How We Got Started
Pinay Girl Boss is the brainchild of Atty. Tina de Guzman and Maxine Mendoza. These close friends share a love of learning and promoting wellness with the help of essential oils.
They started with a podcast in 2020 and expanded to events and brand collaborations after the pandemic started to lift.
In 2023, they were joined by entrepreneur friends who share the same heart-centered philosophy.
All these women also shared something else: a vision of a future full of empowered Filipinas. These Pinays would strive for success and achieve it. They would learn and grow from failure. They wouldn’t let anything keep them from making their dreams a reality.
They had an unshakable determination to give fellow Filipinas a way to pursue their dreams and passions. And this conviction saw the birth of PGB Influence and Pinay Girl Boss Academy. Their events, courses, and community provide support, education, and affirmation for goal-getter Pinays.
Recently, they launched the maiden courses of their Pinay Girl Boss Academy. And with exciting plans to reach and teach more people in the coming months and years, the future they envisioned draws even closer.
Maxine (left), known to her friends as Max, has had a career in the aviation industry since 2010. “Traveling is in my blood, and dessert fuels me,” says this dreamer and book lover. She’s proud to call herself the other half of Pinay Girl Boss and mama of the Certified Oilers community.
Tina (right) is a mompreneur and a lawyer with a passion for community building, collaboration, and advocating wellness. She also empowers women through other communities she founded, including @theoilnaturalprojectph, @fitmomsprojectph, and @milfmanila (Moms in Love with Fun).
